Please note this tutorial is specific to setup your email in the Airmail app for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch devices running on the latest version of IOS.
1) Open AirMail and go to Settings > Add Account.
2) If you see your email provider, tap it to add your account automatically. If you don’t see your email provider, tap Generic IMAP or Generic POP3 to add your account manually. If you have the email address configured in multiple devices, our recommendation is to use the IMAP protocol. In simple terms, if you are using IMAP and mark a mail as read, it gets marked as read in your web-based inbox too (because the changes are happening on the server). However, this won’t be the case if you are using POP because the emails are downloaded to your PC and the changes won’t reflect on the server.
3) Tap on IMAP generic
4) Enter your name, email address, and password for your account.
5) Tap Add.
6) Enter the information for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Then tap Done. If you don’t have this information, try to look it up or contact your email provider.
Incoming Mail Server common ports
IMAP – Port 143
IMAP SSL – Port 993
Outgoing Mail Server common ports
SMTP – Port 25 (Alternates: Port 26 / Port 2525)
SMTP SSL – Port 465
If your email settings are correct, tap Done to finish. If the email settings are incorrect, you’ll be asked to edit them. If you still can’t set up your email account or save your email settings, contact your email provider.
Setting up your email with Airmail is easy when you have the right host by your side.
